What’s inside

• Dashboard: days to go, total budget vs spent, what’s left, spend per person, packing and checklist progress, cancellation deadlines, who owes whom and a planned vs spent chart
• Setup: trip name, destination, dates, up to 8 travellers, home currency, trip currency and exchange rate
• Budget: planned vs spent for flights, stays, transport, food and drink, activities, shopping, insurance and other. Spent fills in from your expense log, converted to your home currency
• Itinerary: day by day for up to 30 days, dated from your start date, with time, activity, place, booking ref, cost and notes
• Bookings: flights, hotels, cars, trains and tours with confirmation numbers, check-in and check-out dates, nights, payment status and a cancel-by date that shows Upcoming, Due soon or Passed
• Packing List: a starter list to edit, with category, who it’s for and a Packed? column. See % packed for each traveller and each category
• Documents: passports, visas, licences and insurance, with an expiry check against your trip dates
• Before You Go: a ready-made checklist dated from your start date that flags Overdue and Due soon tasks
• Expenses: log costs in either currency, pick who paid and split with everyone or only some people
• Settle Up: what each person paid, their fair share and the fewest payments needed to make everyone even

How it works

1. Download the files after purchase
2. Open in Excel, or upload to Google Drive and open with Google Sheets (share it with your travel group so everyone can add expenses)
3. Fill in Setup, then plan, book, pack and log costs as you go. Type only in the yellow cells. Everything else updates by itself

Good to know

• Works in Excel 2016 or newer, Excel for Mac, Microsoft 365 and Google Sheets
• Any currencies. You set the exchange rate and can update it any time
• Countdown, deadlines and checklist statuses use today’s date, so they update each time you open the file
• Works for solo trips too. Settle Up is there when you travel with others
